THE ATLANTIC SALMON RESERVE
The Atlantic Salmon Reserve was founded in the year 2003 by Peter C. Power who was appointed “Adviser (Sovetnik) to the Governor for International Tourism” in June, 2007. The ASR is the world's first conservation area for Atlantic Salmon, Sea Trout & Wild Brown Trout and Arctic Char. Fly fishing is available on the Kharlovka, Eastern Litza, Rynda and Zolotaya rivers through the Northern Rivers Company in Russia where the territory is known as: Дом для лосося

Rynda LodgeThe Rynda Lodge is the partner lodge to the Kharlovka. We fish up to 12 guests on the Rynda and the Zolotaya Rivers. Although Kharlovka & Litza have twice the annual water flow of Rynda & Zolotaya (See: www.kharlovka.com/about.html ) it is a stunning fact that every year Rynda produce nearly as many landed salmon. The difference is that the size of the MSW Atlantic Salmon is likely to be 20% less. A 25lbs fish as Rynda is more likely to be a 30lbs fish at Kharlovka and so forth. The best fish taken at Rynda was 42lbs whereas at Litza it was 47.5lbs - Our's was fresh!! These rivers fall through more gentle gradients than the Kharlovka and Litza Rivers. There are some 75 interesting named salmon pools that require the angler to read the water and consider each cast. The successful angler approaches the fishing carefully in intellectual contemplation and, however experienced, listens to the guide. Some say the rivers are reminiscent of Iceland. They, and the accommodation, are attractive to lady fishers as we are to them! The Atlantic Salmon Reserve does not work through agents and both the Kharlovka and Rynda Lodges are booked privately. At both camps do our best to arrange harmonious international and Russian parties of kindred fly fishing spirits in harmony with nature. If you wish to be a guest at Rynda please do not hesitate to apply but it does help if you know something about the "Rynda Way of Life" from previous guests. Applications should be sent to Peter@Ryndariver.com Click on the pictures below to enlarge.
