Tundra Adventure Programs - 2010We have been deeply concerned that the economics of the traditional ASR helicopter fishing program is progressively becoming beyond the reach of the average fisherman or women many of whom may be old friends who would like to return. More importantly we wanted to welcome and encourage the younger generation to enjoy the ASR experience and strengthen the future of our chosen sport. Accordingly, last season we devised an experimental program for both Kharlovka & Rynda with minimum use of helicopters and less luxurious living at substantially reduced prices. Although the primary emphasis was on our famous MSW Salmon fishing there were also facilities and opportunities for fishing wild brown trout, sea trout and char. All rods walked to and from their fishing beats each day. Guests were then bussed from Murmansk approximately 100 kilo meters to Tumannyi in our direction 50 kilo meters from Rynda. Helicopter use was minimized to MI-8 transit from Tumannyi to their first camp, then again by MI-8 to a second camp mid week returning to Murmansk the same way at the end of the holiday. The program was huge success so we are increasing the number of Tundra Adventure weeks next season. Most guests enjoyed the walking, were amazed by the quality and service in the tent camps on the Litza and at 3rd Waterfall on the Rynda. Guests were invigorated to return home from their truly happy holiday with the added benefit of feeling thoroughly fit with the loss of a few lbs. Everyone was delighted with the principle and low cost but some suggested a morning deployment by MI-2 followed by a walk home in the afternoon would be close to perfection. And so the idea of creating two programs was born: "Limited Helicopter" & "Walking". The Kharlovka/LitzaThere will be two groups of nine anglers fishing three rods to one guide. Group A will fish Kharlovka for the first three days fishing and Group B will fish Eastern Litza for the first three days. There will be an interchange every Tuesday at 19:00 by MI-8 helicopter for the second three days of fishing. Each river will be divided into three fishing sections (Upper, Middle and Lower). Fishing starts at 09:15 each day and dinner will be at 21:00. When fishing the lower Kharlovka, there may be the option to stay the night at the estuary Military camp in order to take advantage of the excellent Sea Trout possibilities according to the tide. There will be four weekly programs all inclusive (with the exception of gratuities) from Murmansk as follows:

Group A will start by fishing Rynda for three days in the section downstream from the Power Line out of Rynda Lodge. Group B will fish upper Rynda for three days in the section upstream from the Power Line out of the newly created 3rd Waterfall Tent Camp. There will be a midweek interchange every Tuesday at 19:00 by MI-8 helicopter for the second three days of fishing. Fishing starts at 09:15 each day and dinner will be at 21:00.
The 3rd Waterfall is a newly constructed quality tent camp that will include two (15sq.meters) kerosene heated tents with three folding beds including proper bedding that will be laundered twice a week. There will be a second large (20sq.meters) tent that will be used as the dinning quarters/mess. The camp staff will include a chef and a helper. There will be a jet boat available to access the char and brown trout possibilities in and around the Lake Rynda system which is 10 kilo meters in length. At the top of this lake there are autumn salmon fishing opportunities not to mention the traditional Rynda trout fishery beyond. There will be four weekly programs all inclusive (with the exception of gratuities) from Murmansk as follows:
